Little Reminder

Assalamualaikum

We often think to ourselves how much we want to have luxurious things in life, how much we try to go into medical treatments just so we can beautify ourselves, we get so busy and caught up in so many things that we forget to know that we were created for one purpose and that the One who created us makes no mistakes.

It’s fascinating how one can go into so much struggle just so he can uplift his status in the society, just so he can be looked up by others and seen superior over others, but don’t we realize that even we we bought the whole dunya, there will always be one who will be superior above us, higher than us, always up there and nothing can bring Him down?

Allaah says in the Qur’an;
"And do not walk upon the earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height." 17:37
So realize that even with His creation, the nature, we cannot compete so why go beyond?

Yes, your money may put you in such a status in this life, own lots of things and properties but do you think of your life after death? Do you even invest for your akhirah? Do you think that even one of your mansions here would replicate a mansion you wish not to build in the akhirah?

Yes, you are beautiful and everyone just wants to admire you but what is the value of a face full of beauty when the heart is full of filth and dirt whose only aim in life is to be seen beautiful by the people?
Do you think these are all blessings from Allah? Yes they are but you should also know that behind all these blessings are trials and tests as well to see if you will have the attitude in which is pleasing to Him.

Realize that He doesn’t look what you have become in this dunya or how beautiful you are in the dunya, because to Him everyone is equal except in our piety, and our worship unto Him.

On the day of Judgment, He wouldn’t look at what is your status in dunya or how beautiful you were, but rather He would look into what was in your heart and what you have done for His Sake.

This is the truth.

So my brothers and sisters in Islam, know that if you have been given such blessings know that it is far more a harder trial for you wherein there will be greater reward if you then stay firm to your faith and make it a means of pleasing Him more by doing more deeds and beautifying yourself through zikrullah and salat.

Let us beautify ourselves with His remembrance, clothe ourselves with our worship for him in our Salat and extinguish our bad deeds and sins through spending for His Sake.

You are beloved to Allaah as everyone else is, He created you. He gave you life, so be thankful to him and be reminded of what He says in the Qur’an and reflect from it:

"It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful." 67:23

Be most mindful of what is in your heart and what your deeds are done for.
Remember if Allah loves you He makes the angels love you, and those who believe in Him love you,
and if Allah hates you so will He make the angels hate you and those who believe in Him hate you.
Remind yourself of your purpose in this life, remind yourself of your akhirah.
